Andrew Moncur
Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Moncur founded WDE (now part of EDI Holding company) in 2010 after a distinguished career with Baker Hughes for 14 years in well engineering, drilling solutions, integrated project management, business development, technical and operational management delivering high performance and quality drilling & completion services. He has overall management, strategy, sales, and investor relationships experience and is an Industry expert with experience in the Big-3 OFSE companies. His leadership and marketing, engineering and financial management expertise coupled with the focused experience in the Middle East, Caspian Basin & East Europe has led to the company’s fast and sustainable growth.

Philip Painter
Operations VP & Board Member

Mr. Painter manages the operations of WDE projects and Uzbekistan land based projects and will address and execute EDI’s expansion plans in the region. Mr. Painter brings almost 30 years of concrete directional drilling background and a wealth of industry experience gained in the Middle East where he was instrumental in growing Baker Hughes business as well as sustaining conventional services. Mr Painter has been managing directional drilling projects in the Field with Baker Hughes (2000-2005) and WDE (2007 to date). He holds an educational background in Building and Construction and progressed through the oilfield from drilling rigs, surveyor, MWD engineer, Directional Driller, Short Radius Driller, Rotary Steerable Specialist, DD Project Coordinator and Operations Manager.

Adrian Gott
Commercial VP & Board Member

Mr Gott brings over 28 years of commercial and operational experience in the oil & gas service industry. Mr Gott worked for Baker Hughes and Weatherford in various sales and operational Directional Drilling Services and Integrated Project Management roles primarily in Europe, Central Asia, China, Middle East and West Africa. He is a professional and accomplished communicator with a motivational management style, and a reputation for promoting internal and external relationships-both by instilling customer confidence; and building highly effective cross-disciplinary teams in international markets. Mr Gott has an Honours Degree in Science and is a Member of EAGE, SPE and a Fellow of the Geological Society of London.

Andrew Barker
Business Development VP

Mr. Barker has an extensive background in the global petroleum industry spanning 32 years, ranging from field engineering to management, including technical coordination, operational, sales & marketing, and executive management positions at Baker Hughes, Weatherford, and Lloyds Register. Andrew excels at strategic business development, market analysis, market penetration & expansion, and counter-intuitive opportunity realization. He has successfully developed and implemented transformational market penetration plans and high-caliber growth strategies across EDI’s target markets.

Mr. Barker holds a BSc in Geological Sciences from the University of Aston in Birmingham, UK. He also studied for a Masters in Petroleum Business and Engineering at the Technical University of Delft in the Netherlands and the IFP in Paris, France.

Artem Arkhangelski 
Non Exec. Director

Mr Arkhangelski is currently a Director of the Solvis Group based in Moscow. He has over 10 years experience in Emerging and Cross-Cultural Market, with valuable experience focused on Russia and Central Asia. During his professional career he has gained valuable experience dealing with and advising Board- and C-level decision-makers on corporate finance matters, including M&A, fund-raising, divestments/acquisitions, new market entry, etc. across multiple industries and geographies. Mr Arkhangelski is experienced in evaluating strategic opportunities, negotiating deals, risk assessment and corporate governance. Mr Arkhangelski brings a wealth of experience to the EDI Board.
